Once again Foundation for the Development of Agusanon Incorporated (FDAI) bested other Civil Society Organizations and garnered 1st place in the Caraga Region Regional Gawad Kalasag Award for 2023 for the Seal of Special Award as the Best Civil Society Organization for Excellence in Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) and Humanitarian Assistance.
Regional Director Liza R. Mazo of the Office of the Civil Defense-Caraga Region personally conferred the award to FDAI held at Almont Inland Resort, Butuan City, on August 14, 2023. It is not the first time the foundation garnered this award. In the same honor last year, FDAI was also the overall winner of this award as the Best Civil Society Organization for Excellence in Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) and Humanitarian Assistance.
This award is a testament to FDAI’s strong commitment and continuous advocacy for a safe community through Disaster Risk Reduction and Management. With this award, the foundation remains steadfast in its commitment to serve, respond and collaborate with other stakeholders to address the future challenges of disaster and calamities.
