When FDAI started to develop a portion of the D.O. Plaza Government Center several years back, what it had in mind was to have a place that features the following: a Medicinal Herbs Garden that serves as a living depository of herbs/plants used as medicines, a processing facility for integrative medicines, a therapeutic massage center, and a training facility. With such features, the center was named HYGEIA Integrative Medicine Center or HYGEIA IntegraMeds Center. We were made happy by the fact that the planned center started to take shape, no matter how slow the process has been.

Fast forward to the present times. The Center already features programs and facilities that were not envisioned at the start of its development. This was after FDAI embarked in the implementation of several programs and projects in furtherance of its avowed vision of bringing Full Humanity Development to Caraga Region and beyond. As reflected below, the Center’s use has broadened significantly.

With the broadening and widening of the Center’s use, FDAI reckoned that the name HYGEIA IntegraMeds Center is no longer appropriate. Hence the change of the name to HYGEIA Full Humanity Development Center. The new name reflects the works that FDAI has been doing.
