Patin-ay, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur – Tweny (20) young Caraganons from different municipalities of the region officially end their 180 days of stay at Hygeia IntegraMeds Center, Patin-ay, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur. As enrollees of a program dubbed as Academic and Technology Integration – Education Program (ATI – EP), these young Caraganons successfully hurdled the program that tested their resolves.

ATI-EP was initiated by the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) to assist kids who are eager to go to school but do not have the necessary means to pursue their education. Enrollees of the program would learn academics that involve reading, writing and arithmetic as part of the Alternative Learning System component of the Department of Education (DepEd) and would learn technology that involves capacitating them in (organic) agriculture production, which would culminate in National Certification II competency assessment by the Technical Education and Skills Development Assessment (TESDA).

As graduates of the program, these young Caraganons are expected to make a difference in the barangays in which they are expected to return and implement what they’ve learned. ATI is committed to help them in their farming activities to ensure that they become productive in their endeavor. Foundation for the Development of Agusanons, Inc. (FDAI), as an ATI-accredited Private Extension Service Provider and Learning Site, also commits to continue helping the graduates in whatever means possible.

The graduates attested to the plethora of knowledge and skills – not only academics and technology but including personal and spiritual development – that they’ve obtained from the program that was purposely designed for them by FDAI. As changed and capacitated individuals; they commit to be catalysts of agricultural development in their respective areas.
