The Foundation for the Development of Agusanons, Inc. (FDAI) successfully conducted a two-day Orientation and Refresher Course for its Project Staff and Community Facilitators (CFs) under the Self-Help Approach Children-Focused Community Development (SHA-CFCD) Program.
The activity aimed to strengthen the participantsโ understanding of the core principles of SHA, reinforce the organizationโs mission and values, and enhance the quality of program implementation in partner communities. The refresher course served as an opportunity to revisit foundational concepts, clarify roles and responsibilities, and align strategies toward achieving sustainable and child-centered community development.
Throughout the two-day session, participants engaged in meaningful discussions, workshops, and reflective exercises designed to deepen their appreciation of community empowerment, child participation, and grassroots leadership. Emphasis was placed on the importance of partnership-building, accountability, and ensuring that children remain at the center of development initiatives.
The orientation also reaffirmed FDAIโs commitment to promoting inclusive, participatory, and sustainable development processes that empower families and communities to become active agents of change.
By investing in the continuous learning and capacity-building of its staff and community facilitators, FDAI strengthens its mission to create safer, nurturing, and empowered communities where women and children can thrive.
