The Foundation for the Development of Agusanons, Inc. (FDAI) actively participated in the Training-Workshop on the Updating/Formulation of the Local Development and Investment Plan for Children (LDIPC) held from August 4 to 8, 2025, at Gov. DO Plaza Provincial Learning Center in Patin-ay, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur.

The five-day workshop brought together key stakeholders and child rights advocates in the province, fostering meaningful dialogue, knowledge-sharing, and collaboration. The initiative aims to strengthen the planning and implementation of child-centered programs at the local level, aligned with national goals and frameworks.

During the workshop, FDAI strongly advocated for the meaningful participation of children in the implementation of programs, projects, and activities (PPAs) related to child rights. The organization underscored that children should not be regarded as passive recipients or mere audiences, but as active stakeholders with a genuine sense of ownership over these initiatives. FDAI emphasized that it is the children themselves who are best positioned to assess the impact and effectiveness of interventions that directly affect them. As such, their voices, ideas, and lived experiences must be actively listened to, respected, and meaningfully integrated into the planning, implementation, and evaluation of child-focused policies and programs.

FDAI’s involvement in the activity reaffirmed its strong commitment to promoting and upholding the rights and welfare of children in Agusan del Sur. Through the exchange of expertise and best practices with fellow advocates, the organization further solidified its mission of ensuring that every AgSurnon child is protected, nurtured, and given opportunities to thrive.
