Our Story<\/h2>\n

The Foundation for the Development of Agusanons, Inc. (FDAI) is a non-stock, non-profit organization that was founded in 2004 through a support grant from the Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID). The grant was for the establishment of a Community Trust Fund (CTF) for use in the augmentation and supplementation of the funds of Local Government Units for the purchase of critical malaria control and prevention drugs and equipment. FDAI is based in Patin-ay, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur. It is duly registered in the Securities and Exchange Commission (CN200415290), in the Bureau of Internal Revenue (OCN2003-104-006171), in the Department of Health (C.A. No. 01-2011), in the Department of Social Welfare and Development, among other government agencies.<\/p>\n

FDAI was granted donee status by the Bureau of Internal Revenue starting in 2006 after the Philippine Council for NGO Certification (PCNC) found its (FDAI\u2019s) systems and processes compliant with the set standards.<\/p>\n

Our Approach<\/h2>\n

FDAI implements various projects that revolve around a general theme dubbed as Full Humanity Development and PEACE Paradigm of Development, the more prominent of which are its implementation of a program dubbed as INTEGRATIVE HEALTH MANAGEMENT SYSTEM INSTITUTIONALIZATION and FARMASI (Agricultural Sustainability Interventions). A book to elucidate Full Humanity Development and PEACE Paradigm of Development concepts was published by FDAI in 2010.<\/p>\n

What we do<\/h2>\n

Aiming to be a major player in the protection of Children\u2019s Rights in its area of operations, FDAI partners with Kindernothilfe (Germany) in the major endeavor dubbed as Children – Focused Community Development, a seven (7) year project that will last upto 2018.<\/p>\n

FDAI is a Founding Member and now the Chair of Go Organic Mindanao,a network of organic agriculture practitioners and advocates across Mindanao. Being a firm believer of organic agriculture, FDAI has implemented various activities to advance the practice in the Province of Agusan del Sur. It has implemented its flagship program dubbed as FARMASI, including the Black Rice Production Production, Organic Production of High Value Commercial Crops even as FDAI has engaged in policy advocacies to institutionalize organic agriculture in Agusan del Sur.<\/p>\n

FDAI has been the 2014, 2015, and 2016 Provincial and Regional Winner of the Provincial and Regional Search for Organic Agriculture Achievers Award. It is also a National Nominee for the same search in the same years. In 2015, FDAI has been accredited by the Agricultural Training Institute as the first and only Extension Service Provider on Organic Agriculture in Region XIII. And just recently, FDAI has been certified by the Agricultural Training Institute as a Learning Site for Integrated and Diversified Organic Farming System in the Region.<\/p>\n

To show its seriousness in its advocacy on sustainable agriculture, FDAI has developed a package of technology that it has dubbed as ENHANCED INDIGENOUS FARMING SYSTEM (EIFS). The International Labour Organization (ILO), in its Indigenous Peoples Development Programme, funded the development and packaging of the EIFS and is now arranging the official publication of the same.<\/p>\n

FDAI has also positioned itself as a leading environmental management organization in the province by advocating for socially responsible investments among small and large corporations that operate and about to operate in the area. For most in this endeavor is to ensure resource conservation in significant environmental features and ancestral domains in the area.<\/p>\n
